Pertaining to the soft tissues and organs of the body - such as the stomach lungs, liver, gallbladder, etc.

SOMATIC (SO MAT TIC)
Pertaining to muscle and bone - such as vertebrae (spinal bones) and spinal muscles.

A viscero-somatic reflex occurs when irritation of an organ or tissue due to toxins sets up a reflex action/reaction where muscles of the spine spasm and cause spinal misalignment (subluxations). The resultant spinal misalignment (subluxation) then blocks or interferes with the nerve system which causes further damage to the organ or tissue.
