ABOUT OUR TEAM

Who We Are

Your Family's Wellness Begins With Us.
Change Your Health, Change Your Life.

Chiropractors focus on the relationship between the spine and nervous system, and how the relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health. Dr. Borio will evaluate the entire patient as a whole, during examination and treating a patient’s health alignment and not just focusing on only one symptom or specific part of the body.

Chiropractic is known for treating back and neck pain, but did you know in today's modern society it's also used to treat a range of problems such as chronic pain, headaches, migraines, carpal tunnel, muscle strain or pain from an injury, whiplash and so much more.

Dr. Joe Borio

Dr. Joe Borio

Dr. Joe was born February 7, 1965 in Syracuse, New York and is the third in a family of four children.  His father owned and operated a large successful Italian restaurant where he learned the meaning of hard work.  Playing every sport he could both in high school, college, and at the professional level, Dr. Joe decided to enter into a career to help ensure true health and wellness to the people in his community he knew as a boy.

After graduation from Chiropractic School
Dr. Joe began his chiropractic practice in Cicero, New York in March 1991 at the same location he practices now.  In the past 31 years Dr Joe has grown one of the largest practices in the country helping 1000s of people a year live a healthier life.  Dr Joe is the father of two boys, the oldest Joey is 25 years old and the youngest Vito is 20.

Dr. Joe became a chiropractor in an effort to help families live the healthiest and highest quality of life possible.  He practices with passion, total commitment and hard work.  Dr Joe cares for you and your family as he cares for his own.  His practice members will tell you he is an honest man with a great outlook and a warm personality whose motivational speaking and conviction for his love of chiropractic is apparent in everything he does.

"The future health of my community is in my hands and it is a huge responsibility. We ask anyone who is interested in living a healthier life, call and join our practice today and begin to live the best part of the rest of your life! My goal is to help you achieve total health for you and your family, and in turn help improve the health of the world” ~ Dr. Joe Borio

Dr. Erik Johnson

Dr. Erik was born May 7, 1982 in the small town of Gladstone, Michigan and is the middle child in a family of three children. He learned the value of hard work for honest pay at a young age, doing odd jobs until he got his first steady job delivering newspapers in his neighborhood in middle school, and leaving that only when a McDonald’s restaurant opened in Gladstone when he was in high school. He was, and remains, an avid learner with a passion for science and art. After exploring several fields of study as an undergraduate (the “professional college student” days, as his father dubbed them), Dr. Erik suffered a debilitating back injury. Medication numbed the pain without correcting the underlying cause, and therapy exacerbated symptoms to the point he was referred to a pain specialist. That was when he discovered chiropractic. A few spinal adjustments had him feeling better than he had in months of chasing the problem, and after just a few short months of care he decided to change the focus of his studies to dedicate his life to caring for the spines and nervous systems of others.

“Chiropractic gave me my life back, and I wanted to share that with the world!” ~Dr. Erik Johnson

After Graduation from Chiropractic College
Dr. Erik graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2013, and started working as an associate doctor for the official chiropractor of the Detroit Lions. It was an amazing experience that provided wealth of knowledge that no amount of in-class education could. Within a few short years he had met Dr. Joe Borio, his now long-time mentor, and started his own chiropractic practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After several years of practice in Grand Rapids, he was deeply honored when Dr. Borio asked him to join his practice in Cicero, New York. He sold his practice in Grand Rapids and made the move to New York with his fiancé Brianna, and their daughter, Raylen.

Dr. Erik became a chiropractor because of the miracles he experienced in his life once he started caring for his spine and nervous system. It is his firm belief that every man, woman and child deserve the to live the healthiest and highest quality of life possible. He has witnessed the miracles that chiropractic care can provide countless times in his years of practice and knows the healthiest and happiest families have healthy spines. Always serving with the highest degree of love and compassion, he treats every practice member as a valued member of his own family.

“The future health of my community is in my hands, and it is a huge responsibility. We ask anyone who is interested in living a healthier life, call and join our practice today and begin to live the best part of the rest of your life! My goal is to help you achieve total health for you and your family, and in turn help improve the health of the world.” ~Dr. Erik Johnson
